Bachelor Program in Industry Technology

Program Overview
This program aims to provide continuing education opportunities for entry-level technical staff in regional enterprises, as well as recent vocational high school graduates who intend to work during the day and pursue further studies at night. The goal is to cultivate industrial talents with basic professional skills and cross-disciplinary integration abilities. This program plans to collaborate with reputable local enterprises to promote job-oriented courses, allowing students to deepen their learning and refine the various abilities and skills required in the workplace. It is hoped that through the specially designed learning and practical pathways of this program, graduates will be able to serve local enterprises, alleviate regional labor shortages, and enhance their future career prospects.

Educational Objectives
This program, through interdisciplinary and integrated learning encompassing "life perspective," "language skills," "interdisciplinary thinking," "design capabilities," and "trend-following abilities," immerses students in an environment of "interdisciplinary communities," "academic theory," and "current industry realities." This fosters diverse creative and innovative learning experiences, ultimately achieving the goal of a holistic, interdisciplinary education. Furthermore, it emphasizes the equal importance of theory and practice: a triple-helix-like interactive development of abstract theory, technical practice, and social responsibility strengthens students' ability to connect and integrate "industry project research and execution," cultivating them into interdisciplinary industry professionals who combine knowledge and action.

Curriculum Planning
The curriculum is rooted in the cultivation of versatile, interdisciplinary industrial talents, with the following goals and characteristics:
1.To cultivate students' basic professional skills, academic literacy, and cross-domain ability to integrate theory with practice, so as to enable them to have the basic engineering application and practical operation skills required in the workplace (factory).
2.Through a triple spiral development of abstract theory, technical practice, and social responsibility, they become cross-domain talents who integrate knowledge and action.
3.To broaden students' humanistic qualities in order to achieve the goal of holistic education.
4.Students are encouraged to participate in industry internships, apprenticeships, or jobs starting from their sophomore year, in order to enhance their practical skills and business management abilities.

Career Prospects
This program equips students with fundamental professional skills and interdisciplinary integration abilities, providing local businesses with opportunities for entry-level technicians to further their skills and enhance their expertise. Graduates can remain employed in their current organizations or transition to other career paths based on their work experience. Lower-year students, who are recent vocational high school graduates, can already utilize their vocational skills to work as entry-level technical workers in companies. Upper-year students can pursue project-based learning or internships to work as technicians, assistant professionals, machine operators, assemblers, or even enter the workforce directly, all contributing to alleviating the current labor shortage. Graduates are well-positioned to respond to future national and societal trends and address complex social issues.
