Congratulations to Professor Pan (潘志龍老師) and his team of six students—許智昊、陳俊驛、張家豪 (Intelligent Electric Vehicle IACP), 郭冠霆 (Dapumei and Machouhou IACP of Smart Manufacturing), 張竣凱 (BPIT), and 吳振嘉 (The Department of CSIE)—for winning an Honorable Mention at the 9th National Compassion Technology Innovation Competition (全國慈悲科技創新競賽), co-organized by the Tzu Chi Foundation and Tzu Chi University! Their work is the first earthquake disaster prevention system to integrate a tensioned monolithic structure with wireless positioning technology. Through a steel cable network, it dynamically disperses the impact force on buildings, significantly improving earthquake resistance. Simultaneously, it combines LoRa long-range penetration communication and BLE short-range precise positioning, automatically sending coordinates to the disaster relief center during a disaster and triggering voice alarms in the rubble. With uninterrupted lighting and ultra-low power consumption design, it continuously protects lives during the golden rescue period.
